You Know A Debate Sucks When...

You can regurgitate what each candidate is going to say before they say it. Obama and McCain both said the same talking points that were said in the last debate. Seriously, at least Palin is entertaining. These two are putting me to sleep with their rehearsed, REPEATED jargon. And Obama supporters if you don't see it or hear it you are experiencing an illusion of the kool-aid drinking kind. Wake up America. What gets me is the constant harping on change when Obama is NOT change...HE is the same. If someone can say the same thing 20 different ways its still the same. He is NOT that much different than McCain or Bush...DO YOUR FREAKING RESEARCH OBAMA CULTISTS. This election sucks. Palin is the only saving grace and the media and the left want to pounce on her to make her look stupid. At this point I am done with both candidates and would vote for anyone NOT FROM WASHINGTON! Palin may be slow on foreign policy and talking points but at least she is the only one who can say she was NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ECONOMIC CRISIS. She can run a state and has done it well. She has an 80% approval rating. Compare that to these bonehead Senators, and that includes HILLARY, who ALL have FAULT in this CRAP! I am tired of the left who make fun of the only person in this friggin' campaign who has a brain in their heads! EVERY SINGLE SENATOR SUCKS! PERIOD! HOW dare people throw the stupid card at Palin when she is the least stupid non-responsible party for this economic SHIOT! People pull your heads out of your butts and see what is in front of your faces. She is the ONLY ONE who should be President. I don't care how many diatribes of nuance any of the other 3 can throw my way. THEY WERE ALL IN CONGRESS AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FINANCIAL MESS! So shut your freaking pie holes about Palin not having brains, cuz these Senatorial puppies are all stupid...AND THAT INCLUDES OBAMA YOU CULT FOLLOWING RETARDS! Start calling the other 3 stupid dumb asses and maybe you can gain some credibility. I am speaking to anyone who thinks that Palin is stupid...Maybe you should look at the other 3 doorknobs! If I hear that Palin is a step away from the Presidency again I am going to say...GOOD THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT! That would be an informed intelligent voter voting for REAL CHANGE!...I AM OUT!

I do agree with your sentiments, Nikki . . . but look, no one is as charismatic as Ronald Reagan. And we should consider carefully whether we are looking for an executive, or a talk-show host. I would much rather have a proven executive in the White House, than someone who fits in with those hags on the view.

Americans need to wake up to the fact that the world has turned egregiously evil. Let’s stop voting as if the presidency was a popularity contest, and start looking at the issues. Let’s spend more time on the executive abilities of the contenders.

I spend the entire afternoon evaluating the Obama/Biden Economic Plan. He should be arrested for lying to Americans who don’t have either the time, or the intelligence, to sift through volumes of barf. Obama’s economic package is a fraud . . . because while he is promising pie, he is really delivering more government. And make no mistake, more government means two things: less money, less freedom.

Choose wisely, America. It’s your rear end.

VERY well said Mustang! To me I am tired of hearing the "dumb" and inexperienced rhetoric. It is time to wake up and get real. I think Palin is real and McCain should follow her lead. He needs to stop campaigning and start fighting like he talked about or Obama will put in to action his idiotic plan...McCain frustrated me with his passive approach tonight. Great comment! :)N

I do agree it's dull Nikki but I think that is what I'm lookinng for. We need steady right now. It's after the debate and I am watching Fox, they're saying that a lot of the problems is that it was a poorly ran debate.

Nikki said...

Chuck, it absolutely was poorly ran. Both candidates looked awkward and Tom was soooo soft. The questions were stupid and repetitive. I think that is a fair assessment. I didn't stick around to hear it...I am too impatient...thanks for the perspective I think it is spot on...:)N

Sally said...

Tom was soft? What are you talking about? The questions in this format came from the audience and via internet. Tom had nothing to do with the questions. I don't think Palin is stupid. She is, however, afraid. She can change her image if she would hold some press conferences. Meet with the press. Not softball press like Hannity, Gibson & Couric. She needs to go on with Chris Wallace, Bob Schieffer, maybe do an interview with Andrew Sullivan. Some REAL journalists. By the way, her approval rating is nolonger 80%,she is now in the mid-sixties. Her association with Senator Stevens and abuse of power investigation are to blame for that. This is all in her hands, she can change it if she desires, but she is driven by fear.

Nikki, at a strong level, I feel your pain! But, look, it is the hand that we were dealt in the primary season. It is awful that the best candidate is the running mate on the Republican side with two years as a governor. But, she is the best candidate. This is why both parties made a HUGE mistake in choosing two sitting senators to be their parties nominees. But, I have to say to Sally, please, you are kidding, right? I mean, if the best question that Mr. Brokaw could find to start the internet questions was from a 78 year old fossil about "sacrifice", then I am ready for a sacrifice! Oh, and really, Gov. Palin should sit down with a "REAL" journalist like ANDREW SULLIVAN?!?! Are you smoking some wacky tabacky?! I mean he could ask if Trig Palin is really her baby or not. PLEASE! Stop with the left-wing talking points.

sally said...

Andrew Sullivan is an avowed conservative. I thought that would be acceptable to the right. How about Chris Wallace? Why won't she do that?

Nikki said...

Sally, Tom chose 6 questions from 6 million questions offered from the internet...not that peep representative. As for "real" journalists, I agree with you Chris Wallace is one. Her mid 60's is still awesome compared to the 9% Congress is packin. at this point they all suck, but McCain is far better than Obama's lying bags. I appreciate your comment...:)N

Sally said...

Thanks Nikki. Hey, I wanted to make sure you new about what a wise old woman said to me once because I know you are trying to sell a house. She asked me: "You know how to sell a house? Bread sticks!" Anyway, I guess the smell of bread sticks baking, maybe even a stew at an open house makes people feel at home. I wrote that comment before, but I wanted to make sure you got it because I know you are trying to sell. Okay...back to the subject: I just heard Fox has scored two more interviews with Palin. I hope one is with Wallace.

Nikki said...

Hey Sally, the breadsticks tip was a great one! The only problem is the house is out of state...it could cause a fire if I were to try to cook them from here haha! I appreciate your suggestion and concern very much. I hope one is with Wallace as well. He is an excellent journalist for sure. I hope the camp heads leave her alone and let her just go...we need some good sound bites for Saturday Night Live...and she should definately go on that show! Now that would be a great debate, Palin vs. Tina Fey! :)N

I agree with you totally about the debate tonight. I was so disappointed! It is the same stuff over and over! November is not coming soon enough!
Good hearing from you! That would be awesome if you came back to Arizona. People can't stay away too long that have lived here before. Although it did take me 18years to move back! Susan misses you!

Wow, this looks like something I would read in the early days of Obama bandwagoning ;-).

As you know, I think Palin is stupid. I don't mean stupid like an empty-brained cheerleader, or beauty queen, when answering the most simple of questions or giving a scripted speech, but in the sense that she is not curious about the world. She doesn't seem to have ever been interested in anything outside of Alaska, and she comes off as stupid because of it. Don't get me wrong, I am sure she is pretty smart (more than in a GW Bush kind of way) and a good leader, but she hasn't demonstrated that she is either for any length of time. The lack of leadership is something I have questioned in Obama as well. No matter though, I certainly don't think McCain picked her because he was interested in a qualified VP who can take the reins as Prez, rather the fact that she can excite his base despite her qualifications. To me, that base falling for that move is no different than the left-wing base falling all over Obama. Palin is simply a conservative Obama. Nothing more.

Not to mention that she is about as Patriotic as Michelle ;-)

I enjoyed the moment when McCheese called Obama, "That one". Might as well have called him "boy" or "uppity".

Like the redneck knuckle dragger yelling "Kill him" at the Palin rally we get the idea of the Republican base.

So here's what's happening. We are taking the laissez-faire/evangelical wing of the Republican party in our teeth and shaking it till it's dead.

The Reagan era is over and a complete failure.

I'm also confused by McCain's constant comment about "I know how to get bin Laden".

Myself, I believe that McCain is mentally ill and this is just part of his clinical narcissism but if he knows how to get it done he should share the knowledge with the administration because they clearly can't get it done.

Nailing bin Laden would immediately ensure the election so I don't understand why he's so close mouthed. Of course we know he hasn't a clue

Ducky's here said...

mustang, of course Obama's package is a fraud. So is McCain's.

Intelligent people know we can't raise the deficit and the balance of payment deficit with more tax cuts. Can't be done.

However, the electorate have been trained to drool like Pavlov;'s dogs whenever "taxes" are mentioned. The right is extremely prone to this dismal behavior also.

What we need is someone talking about growth and how the Phoenix can rise from the ashes because your posse screwed up BIG TIME and we had better be told that we are going to have to take our medicine.

No candidate can do that during an election. What we want is someone who can generate the necessary co-operation between the various parties in this economic conflict and reach a workable compromise. McCain, despite his nonsense cliche about "reaching across the aisle" is incapable of that act. Primarily due to his ignorance and his clinical narcissism.

Nikki said...

Ducky, Where has Obama "reached" across the aisle?

Nikki said...

DB, I don't really give a shit what Palin's natural curiosity is...that is such crap. I care that the naturally curious that you seem to think is so important, has gotten us into this fine economic mess. Democrats republicans including the 3 running are responsible. How can they get us out of a problem they created, because they are smart enough to fix their own messes. No thanks. I prefer someone who isn't responsible for this crap at this point...naturally curious or not, it doesn't matter. Tell me what a curiosity in DNA and evolution or knowing who the shah of Iran is going to solve at this point? When you get as old as me you realize that nothing can be predicted no matter how smart you are, things happen and controlling others actions is sometimes futile. Natural or systemic outcomes occur no matter how genius we think we are. The housing issue is an example of that. The government controlled Freddie and Fannie and they contributors to the problem. Commissions and kick backs for loans is a problem which bred greed and market inflation. This isn't rocket science and you don't need a doctorate to figure that out. Just because Palin doesn't have the degrees to prove she is intellectually curious like some in academia doesn't mean she can't run a country. Sorry but the rocket brainiacs who have been running the joint have proven themselves to be dumb asses...at least stipulate that point. And that includes Alan Greenspan and the like. The market will fix itself as long as the job market stays fairly strong. How do I know this as I do not have a degree or 2 or 3? Because prices are coming down across the board. House prices are falling, gas prices are falling and the dollar is strengthening. Life in the long run will be far more affordable for americans after this and that is a good thing. These are signs of recovery. The market has plunged before and if you listen to the doomsday media you'd think all hell was breaking loose. I suspect that is because of the election. Economic issues favor Obama because he can play on the peeps emotions, he is very good at that. Please stop acting like the intellect in Washington has done a good job thus far and stop acting like only the smartest should apply when that theory is clearly not founded. And you know I say all this with much affection...;)N

Nicki, "reach across the aisle" is a cliche that seems to play well with Rollo.

McCain's legislative activity has been pretty much limited to Indian casino gaming. Wow, I mean that's going to do it for me.

He's a fraud. His claim to fame is McCain-Feingold. "I'm candidate X and I approve of this message". Wow, how can we thank him.

I don't want any reaching across the aisle. This edition of the Republican party needs to be stomped out.

"Reach across the aisle" (LMAO) if there's a phrase made for Rollo that's it.

Charles Ives popularized the term "Rollo". It sort of means "sucker" but it's more derisive.

Nikki said...

Ducky, Well then I think you should probably refrain from using the "reaching" phrase in an argument to prove your point. just sayin. The rest of your comment freaked me out so I will just leave it at that. :)N

"The market will fix itself as long as the job market stays fairly strong."

Everyone wants a pony.

Did you check the last unemployment claim number? 500,000.

400,000 is considered a poor job market.

oooo! nice feisty rant!

I watched the debate, Ed fell asleep half way through. You're right, they both have rehearsed lines that they manage to throw in regardless of the questions. But, Ms Palin does the same thing. How many times can we hear about the Bridge to Nowwhere and Drill, Baby, Drill. Not to mention the ridiculous winking. I don't want a winking VP - much less a winking President.

Oh, well, it's almost over.

Karen said...

Go, Nikki! The debate was a waste of time. Sorry I bothered. Did you notice that now Obama says $200,000 is rich, down from $250,000? His record shows he thinks it's ok to tax anyone over $40,000 but, whatever, right? He's the Chosen One. No one knows why, but, he just is.

Chatterness said...

What's good for the goose is not good for the gander, is it? As if Obama wasn't slammed by the media b/c of his pastor. As if he hasn't been slammed for his popularity.

tsk, tsk.

Palin is not the sharpest pencil in the box. There's no denying that. She cannot complete a sentence without an eye wink or some off the wall slang word. "Joe Six Pack." (wtf?) She's absurd and uncomfortable to watch.

Ladies and gentlemen.....America is demanding change and they WILL get it come November. Time is up. Here's where all you self-professing patriotic folks will be "tested." How much do you love the USA? Enough to stand by "her" side even when your party doesn't win? Is it win or whine as you have repeatedly accussed the Democrats of doing? Will you do the same? We shall see.

God Bless America!

Here's what I thought of the debate...while I thought alot of it was boring and some major issues that people want to hear were not covered...I was disappointed. But looking at the candidates themselves...I thought Obama did good in the beginning and McCain did better in the end when he got to talking about foreign policy...something he seems comfortable with, unlike Obama. The problem...we already heard the foreign policy debate in the first debate! Yeah, they talked about the healthcare thing...still, I am not impressed with either's plan.
I dunno...I'll still vote for McCain because I do think he's a good man and who means his word. And he will be good for our country. I have looked at his voting record and while I do not totally agree with him 100%, I do agree with him on many issues. Obama...I want him out...I do not want to see him as our next president...tho sadly, I think it will happen. I wish we would have a strong independent come out...I'd love to see a debate that includes the independents...but that will probably never happen....plus the debate would probably last 4 hours too. So McCain it is for me...I think he cares about our nation like alot of us do here. I think that he wants to do right by americans, unlike Obama who seems to be using his 173 day senator status as just a stepping stone to get to the presidency. I think he has his own hidden agenda...I want no part of Obama at all. Will Conservatives Help Obama Win?
Die-hard conservatives are in a quandary over whether to support the lesser of two evils (McCain) or to sit back and watch Obama bag himself a RINO (Republican in Name Only).Conservatives that sit out the election, will only help Obama win. And that my friend is a shame.

I enjoyed these two comments by Obama and Biden today. Asking the pampered little admiral's boy if he has the courage to look Obama in the eye.

"I am surprised that, you know, we've been seeing some pretty over-the-top attacks coming out of the McCain campaign over the last several days, that he wasn't willing to say it to my face. But I guess we've got one last debate. So presumably, if he ends up feeling that he needs to, he will raise it during the debate."

"All of the things they said about Barack Obama on the TV, at their rallies, and now on YouTube ... John McCain could not bring himself to look Barack Obama in the eye and say the same things to him," Biden said this morning. "In my neighborhood, when you've got something to say to a guy, you look him in the eye and you say it to him."

We know McCain doesn't have the guts to do it. Look Obama in the eye and say it.

Nikki said...

Do you mean the big fat liar Joe Biden that lied profusely during the last debate...seriously its too long to even blog about. Obama and Biden are lawyers and attackers themselves, let's at least be intellectually honest about that. You bring up the attacks from the right and act like your poor picked on candidate throws no insults...the nile ain't just a river in egypt and you are a biased institution sucking liberal from the sounds of your undying support. John McCain is the democrat and Obama is the radical liberal pretending to be a dem...let's get that straight. :)N

Chuck said...

The "he won't say it to my face" talking points is making the rounds with all of the libtards today. The one thing no one is doing though is explaining why Obama has been friends with a terrorist. I think everyone is confused because they genuinely believed nobody was supposed to question The One.

Can the McCain suckers here comment on his proposal to buy distressed mortgages at 100% face value from banks?

So the Treasury carries these things at true value while the fat boys at the banks get to take them off the books at cost.
