BRING ON THE G20 LOVE...PEACE LOVE AND SMASHING WINDOWS

Good luck watching this, it's not easy on the brain...but the point is that the world still hates America even with or without DUBYA! I don't understand why there is protesting? Wasn't Obama the answer to being more loved by the world? Screw these thugs...hate me commies, I hate you worse. I love the left they are so cool. And don't think these people are any different than some of the left here in America. Funny how we want to rid ourselves of capitalism so these communist-tards will not protest when we come to town. Liberals are such co-dependant enablers. We want you to like us, we crave your approval, we need your acceptance said the battered woman to her abuser. Is this appeasing mentality of the left any different? I say protest away and hopefully a bobby will spray them in the face with some pepper and beat them with a billy club until they bloody cry. I love rioters. More than that I like watching rioters get the hell beaten out of them like friggin' Braveheart warriors. Its like watching hockey with smoke bombs. Yep, let's make nice with these Marxists...it is according to their needs and abilities that we distribute the ass kickings, just to keep it fair and equal.

How ironic. Don't these individuals work? Who would want to spend an entire day doing this? Creepy......and all that screaming and "turkey calling."

Capitalism isn't working? What you won't see is a sign that says Socialism would work better.

I'm sure all these people were sitting at home watching Skins on their flat screen TVs and then all of a sudden decided hey, let's go downtown and protest the G20 summit because somebody somewhere don't have free health care. It's not like there's some person living off the fat of capitalism like George Soros setting all this up because he wants to be king of the world or anything is it? What are they going to do to those "fascist" if they ever get their hands on some bullets? We know what their grand-dads did, I'm afraid to think what they'd do though.

ya know what Nikki, this post just proved to me that you didn't really watch the news yesterday. The protesters were actually very civil and even jolly (as reported). The Obamas were welcomed with open arms and the day was quite positive. Please watch something besides faux fox news, then you will get your reporting correct. :-)

Uh, Sue, Nikki does have a point. Windows were smashed out of several buildings and charges are pending against a number of the "peaceful demonstrators." Sure, lots of the protesters were jolly and civil. But lots were not.

I believe there are areas where globalization has gone too far, and there are areas where the government could do a better job defining the spheres of responsibility for private companies. But that's not what the protesters want. Like it or not, at the heart of their "cause" is a hatred and disdain for capitalism. Without capitalism, most of the folks in the crowd would still be living in caves. What the hell do they think is going to pay for all that public health care (or whatever it is) they crave from the government? Socialism? Communism? It's a joke. Not to mention that under the type of government they wish to live, they wouldn't even have the bloody freedom to assemble and protest.

Seems to me these people are not protesting against capitalism, per se, but against the irresponsible greedy underhanded banking practices that have pushed world financial markets to the brink of collapse.

From Yahoo News:

"Some bolder financial workers leaned out office windows, taunting the demonstrators and waving 10 pound notes at them."

Ha ha, that's great.

That may be true, but it's not likely. Angry protesters show up every single time there is a G7, G8, or G20 meeting. They have done this for the last ten or fifteen years. I was close to the G7 summit in 1995, and there were protesters everywhere. The organizers behind these protesters are almost always anti-capitalists.

Sue I think I was the one getting violent...I don't really care about how "violent" the protests were just that Obama didn't end them and begin world peace by his very presence. :)N

El Cerdo, good point. Same with the WTO and the IMF, I believe.

It would be interesting to know how many of these people could even articulate what they were protesting about! Probably out there just to protest for the sake of protesting. Sort of like picketers during a strike. Most of them don't even work at the place their striking!

actually the protesting wasn't directed at America at all like in the past with the burning of Bush figure. Its been reported the violence was directed towards the banks, the Swedish bank.

But Sue! Your first comment indicated no violence. You haven't been watching Fox News, have you? :-D

I believe the banks targeted by the protesters were the Royal Bank of Scotland (that giant sucking sound you hear is the massive subsidy and bailout train draining the pockets of the British taxpayers, to prop up the RBS) and the Bank of England.
