Humorous, sarcastic and in your face opinion about politics and american culture
i don't know why you're so stunned. obama's an asshole.
Its called diplomacy, something repubs don't know about. Did the isolating and arrogant Bush regime help America?? I say NO!! Can we try something different for a change?? YES!!
Sue, your right. Thank God we got rid of Bush and that year after year of safety for the country. Plus, it was getting to where you could count the terrorist supporting countries with the fingers on one hand. One thing we will see under Obama is the death rate among terrorists will finally begin to fall back to the Clinton year levels.
does he really think that being this guys friend will end all the problems in the world?wake up!
If you think we were safer under the Bush regime then do yourself a favor and listen to what Matthew Alexander says on Keith Olbermans show. Obamas foreign policies will Make us Safer!
I get really tired of people STILL bashing Bush 43! HE IS NOT THE PRESIDENT ANYMORE!! Let it rest! OBAMA is now the president. Obama needs to be judged on his own merit and not up against ANY other president. My goodness...the way people STILL blame Bush 43 for everything is really annoying. I guess if a dog in California ran out in the street and was hit and killed by a car people would blame it on Bush 43....even though he is in Texas!
can i just point out something to you guys to show you how out of his league obama is. show you what an ass-kissing, suck-up he is. (one of my pet-peeves, i HATE a man who's a p*ssy). look at the hand shake. obama's trying to give him the "brother" shake and chavez is clearly refusing to reciprocate. chavez looks like a drooling wolf looking at a sheep.
I might also point out that the handshake looks very much like the camera clicked just as their hands were coming together. So assumptions can sometimes be deceiving.
Maria, you are sooooo correct!! I have so much more to say about this that I think I am going to write another post vs. making a long comment. Actions speak very loudly as you have reminded us. It was not too long ago that Chavez called Obama an ignoramous, now I don't know about you but I am not giving a man hug and brother shake to someone who disses me in front of the world. I guess we can all think what we want about Bush but he is definitely not a puss...and like you said about Obama, yea he's a puss!! Great comment! And btw, Rob and I laughed for a good ole minute about Obama is an a-hole!! LOL! :)N
Sue, it will be a cold day in hell that I watch or listen to anything Keith Olbermann has to say, let alone a worthless liberal biased guest. That would be like me telling you to start listening to Rush if you want to REALLY know what is going on... :)N
Its called diplomacy, something repubs don't know about. Did the isolating and arrogant Bush regime help America?? I say NO!! Can we try something different for a change?? YES!!Right. One Democratic media hack asked yesterday, "Why shouldn't the US listen to people like Castro and Chavez? They live as close to 90 miles from our own country!"What the Democratic hack didn't say, however, is that Øbama sat in the room and listened to more than 50-minutes of anti-American tirade by Daniel Ortega. Sat there for nearly an hour, and listened to an avowed communist tell Øbama how criminal America is, and never once raised a single objection; not one time attempted to defend his own country.Apparently, this is what Democrats want and expect from their president. It is an important and revealing difference between leftists like Sue, and conservatives. This trend toward self-loathing could be psychologically important; it may explain why people like Sue hate America with such passion that they would rather see their own country destroyed, than to stand up to petty tyrants, Muslim extremists, and the big-league boys like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.I think the word for this is … pathetic.
mustang, did you get this report from faux news?? Liberals love this country, contrary to what you all say and think. Its the cons who say they hate Obama so they also must hate this country because they want no change from the old failed policies. Can't you see how repubs way of governing doesn't work??? This country is in the crapper because of you all!!
No, Sue … I get my news from this leftist slug, who you no doubt hold up as a paragon of American Republicanism. I do find it interesting, however, that you are the only person using the word “hate.” Have you made a Freudian slip, perhaps? As I said, the word to describe people like you is, “pathetic.” I know what it is to serve my country in harms way; until you do that, don’t lecture me about love of country or sacrifice for the greater good.
If the 'old failed policies' didn't work, we go to SOCIALISM? We shake hands with a guy who called our (sigh) president an IGNORAMUS two weeks before? We say (as Obama did this morning) that "there are no junior or senior powers in the world"? WHAT? We're not a senior power compared to, say, Costa Rica or VENEZUELA?!!! We accept a book by Chavez which DESCRIBES THE BAD AMERICA'S DONE TO SOUTH AMERICA? Did you all know that's what the book's about?! Oh, I'll bet Olbermann forgot to mention that in his zeal to have Garofalo explain how we hate black people because we aren't for this president turning us into a nationalized, socialist cesspool. Darn, call me racist. ...that'll be all of us who championed Michael Steele (tho I shouldn't have to say that, should I). Typical leftists....Republicans HATE BLACKS because we HATE obama's POLICIES.We don't vote for someone's skin color, we vote what's best for America and cozying up to these guys who DETEST us and our way of life isn't the key...no matter HOW nasty someone thinks Bush was.Funny how Iran coughed up our hostages the day Reagan was inaugurated..remember? Also funny how skinny little Somali savages only went after an American ship after obama was elected, after not having attacked ours in EIGHT YEARS.But, I must be making this up...maybe I heard it on FOX, which totally dispels any legitimacy, right?MAN.
I think Obama and Hugo are playing "thumb war". Of course, with a Dictator obsessed dude like Barry O, that's about as tough as our foreign policy will likely get.
Mustang, What Sue fails to understand is that people who have served this great nation did it so she would have the right to say the ridiculous things she says. Many have fought and died for her right to be wrong and look foolish, while doing it.
Mustang: "I do find it interesting, however, that you are the only person using the word 'hate.'"Actually, Mustang, someone else used the word 'hate' before Sue did. It was... well, it was you. Four hours earlier, you said, "it may explain why people like Sue hate America..." Just saying.
Nikki,You're stunned that Obama is shmoozing with a dictator? You see this as "new" foreign policy? Huh. Perhaps you aren't familiar with how friendly we were with Saddam Hussein back in the 80s. And of course, there was our disastrous policy of financing the Taliban...I'm not saying that Obama should be cozying up to Chavez. I'm just saying it's not all that unusual.
Contrary to many, I do not believe Obama's motives were evil in agreeing to meet with Hugo Chavez. I think his intentions were good, but I think it's a huge mistake to assume good intentions on the part of a Third World dictator like Chavez. The only thing that comes out of such a meeting is Chavez gains credibility that he does not deserve. What it comes down to, besides a quantity of naivete, is that President Obama lacks a sufficiently strong moral compass. One does not reward thug dictators with an audience. Neither should one associate with a race-baiter like Jeremiah Wright, or an unrepentent domestic terrorist supporter like William Ayers. But Obama does all these things either because he is sympathetic with causes of the far left, or because he believes in engaging one's adversaries. If it were the latter, though, we'd probably hear more of the "engaging" part - as in, debate and disagreement. But we don't, and that's the root of the problem.
My mom says, "you're judged by the company you keep."So very true!
