GO AHEAD AND ASSAULT AN OFFICER...OBAMA WILL BAIL YOU OUT, IF YOU ARE BLACK AND A HARVARD PROFESSOR

"Police officers acted stupidly", and Obama can only say that because he was THERE. After all, he is Obama and he is omnipotent. I am sick of these big fat babies. Here is a copy of the police report and after you read it tell me who is baiting who...

I was a little taken back when he used the word "stupidly." That was wrong on all levels. I have a lot of respect and admiration for police officers and what they do. For it to even be a topic that the president speaks about is beyond me. To me, it's just another, "I'm black and therefore I've been discriminated against because of the color of my skin. I really did no wrong and the white po-po mistreated me unfairly." Gimme a break. He talked about racial profiling etc...data doesn't LIE.... if Latinos and blacks are the majority in prisons or getting pulled over by cops, then by golly, Latinos and Blacks are the majority of law breakers. Why try to justify or twist the reasoning? Fact is...Latinos and blacks break the law more.

one more idiot move by obama. seems he didn't get the memo: sir, you are the potus. the only personal comments required of you are about compromising actions of family members.

It was a very inappropriate comment. Not up there with Letterman, perhaps. But wrong none-the-less.

Something like this appears to me to say that Obama truly sees himself as greater than his office-which he is not. Guess he must love Dolly Parton's song,"Just Can't Wait To Be King".

My personal assessment opinion of the police report is that both are to blame for the incident. Without having read the report, I seriously thought that the professor had gone looney. Yes, he went looney, but I still cannot understand why he was arrested. The professor clearly over-reacted when asked to step out of the house. It was for his own saftey, however, it appears that he took immediate offense and turned it immediately into a racial scenario. The police office, knowing he was in his home, safe, free from burglars, should have just walked back to his police car and left. Testosterone flew and it was then the battle of "Respect my authority" type of deal. The professor is the bigger a-hole in this incident. The office wasn't an a-hole, but he just had to prove that he was not going to be treated like that no matter what career the professor possessed. Harvard or not, "Respect my authority." This had nothing to do with prejudice or race. Too bad the professor is still in that "mode" of "If I'm wronged, it's because of the color of my skin." Just my opinion. Thanks for supplying the police report, Nik!

some clarity. when two people are in a tense situation and one of them is a cop, there is no such bullshit as both are to blame. RESPECT THE BADGE/LAW. you must do so whether you like it or not. belligerence = disorderly conduct = arrest. plain and simple.

Well said Maria, and let me just add that the officer never thought that prof plum was the intruder, he was afraid for his safety and anyone else who may be in a house that was POSSIBLY being invaded, NO ONE KNEW AT THAT POINT! thus the question of who else was in the house AND is someone holding you hostage and if they are STEP OUTSIDE MORON AND the police officer was alone!!! The professor was completely out of line and baiting the officer. The only good that came out of this situation is the police officer vote LOST in 2012.
