LET ME JUST SAY THIS...

I guess I am just flat out tired of worthless as hell liberals freaking out about the opposition to their shiny new health care plan. Let me just give this to you retards straight up. You and Nancy and Harry and Barack aren't the ones paying for this multi-TRILLION dollar health care bill. Rich and highly taxed republican business owners and professionals are the ones footing the bill for this legislation and we should be making a fuss, it's our freaking money. STOP worshipping Barack Obama for digging deep into OUR pockets to fund your worthless programs. START thanking rich republicans who provide you with jobs and whose taxes WILL GO UP to pay for this health care plan. This is not Barack's money. He only stole it from the already highly taxed upper middle-class. This health care, if passed, will be provided by evil corporations and small business owners across America, you ingrates. STOP acting like spoiled children who want us to pay your way for every sticking thing. We already pay 70% of received tax revenue. This money is NOT Obama's money. Stop acting like he is daddy warbucks passing out dreams. Start treating us, the rich republicans with respect and more than that, throw us some thank you's you worthless wealth sucking maggots. Obama is not a hero. He is a thief. He is taking our money and getting all the glory for it. I refuse to take your abuse any further. I think you should just sit back and shut up. We all know democrats are worthless and the only rich ones are forced to be democrats because they hang out with movie stars or something. Any wealthy democrat is probably a closet serial killer/child molester who is pretending to care about poor people for a cover. Ahhh, he is such a softy, that rich dude is a democrat. Anyone making 250K or more a year should be on your Christmas card list donkey's. Thank them for all the government is FAKE doing and FAKE WANTS to do for you, WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS. Stop hating and trashing on republicans because in reality, you bitch and moan for your gay programs and we republicans fund them.
And so here we are letting the gift horse look us square in the mouth, drop f-bombs on our blogs, call us racist and hate-mongers while at the same time begging for our money to pay for their ingrown toe nail surgery. Bite the wall. I'd rather you just say thank you and shut the hell up. Oh and of course, a " pretty please" would be nice too. It's what you say to people when you ask them for something. Please will you fund my health care you racist republicans...sure I'd love to, you whining two-bit asshat lazy democrats. It's kind of like this...

nikki please educate yourself about healthcare reform. You have it all wrong!! I hope you will watch OUR President Obama on Wednesday night when he explains it, otherwise how will you get the facts? It will give people like me who have no insurance because of lay-off, the option to buy affordable insurance? IT WILL SAVE MONEY!

Sue said...

OMG, why do I torture myself and keep rereading your horrific rants, GOD, please make me STOP!! You Nikki are an uneducated screaming retard!!!

Nikki said...

mmkay Sue, then I ask you this, how is Obama paying for this health insurance FOR YOU, because it isn't free. Explain it to me like I am a 1st grader. In other words, where is he getting the money to provide you with "free" health insurance...I am waiting for your educated answer.

does the government have a machine that prints money and it just keeps on printing? Does Obama magaically make money cuz he is a leprechan? Help me out...Did Obama find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Where do we get the funds Sue...

I don't plan on getting free health ins. I will pay my premiums and co-pays just like you do. I am not a White House worker or a politician, not even a mathmatician, thats why we LISTEN to our President when he explains it WEDNESDAY night. Now do I expect a smartass remark back from you calling me a sheep and a retard? YES! But I choose to trust our President when he says this country CAN afford to insure its citizens just like every other country in the world does. Did you ask Bush where will the money come from to pay for 2 unneccessary wars?? Good for you if you did!
And tell me this, has any of Obamas policy changes so far affected your personal pocketbook?? You people are the cry babies, " Waaaaaaah don't touch my money you dirty rotten democrats Waaaaaah!" You need to change your cry baby symbol on your sidebar to say repubs!!

Pfft. Buggs Bunny's evil twin uses comment moderation. He's a pussy.

You, admirably, just let them through - though deleting a post because it has a word some folks think is a swear is also a bit pussy-ish.

On a related note - you're a cross-dresser, right?

Word of advice - when you're a dude trying to come off as a chick, at least make an effort to come across as a good looking chick, OK?

First step - get a new wig.

Well, now, looks like you're also pussy-ing out with comment moderation.

What are wingnuts so afraid of?

To Sue, I know why I keep visiting this place, because it is fun. I really do enjoy Nik's rants and I admire the way she writes and uses the english language. Her writing style makes it seem as if she is personally in the room talking, better yet, yelling.
The fact that I don't agree with anything she yells, just makes it all that much more fun. Memo to Sue...If this blog is really bothers you, then perhaps you should unbookmark it. Seriously, It is nikki's blog and she will always have the last word.

as for comment moderation due to a few wack-jobs. oiy! the lefties have the distinct honor of being the ONE group of people who spew hatred when they struggle to come up with a feasible argument. hopefully things will settle down soon and you'll be able to have your blog back the way you want it.

Nikki-
Funny, the Gov't DOES have a machine that prints money. And it DOES just keep on printing! :) That's why hyper inflation is on it's way... just like Nigeria, just like Argentina. And lest we forget, just like WWII Germany. How quickly people forget their history! :)
Interesting also that health care was -yet again- brought up during this post. It's like the battle cry for all Liberals.
I'm exhausted just trying to logically explain to people how Government health care does NOT work. It's a very emotional issue, and emotions will never replace facts. Unless you're living in Willy Wonka's candy factory. If anyone lives there, let me know. Maybe you can keep an economy afloat and thriving on endless gobstoppers?

And tell me this, has any of Obamas policy changes so far affected your personal pocketbook??

That is the difference between those who uncritically accept everything the president is doing, and many of those who don't. Those of us who know about economics understand that while perhaps none of the policies enacted so far has affected the "personal pocketbook" of anyone, the risks of financial hardship in the future (perhaps not too distant in the future) are increasing steadily because of Obama's policies.

Wildly increasing government debt --> risk of much higher interest rates in the future, as capital availability drops and lenders demand a higher return on bonds

Monetizing the debt (i.e., printing money to cover deficits) --> huge increase in the money supply --> risk of higher inflation --> risk of much higher interest rates

Increased tax rates (yes, even for those who make a lot of money - believe me, it matters) --> drags on capital formation and entrepreneurship, loss of job growth or even negative job growth --> more people with less money to pay their bills --> more people dependent on the government

Reduced deductions for charitable donations --> fewer donations to charitible organizations

Higher interest rates --> more expensive mortgage payments, more expensive car payments, more expensive student loan payments

Do you want me to go on? Pocketbook problems are almost guaranteed to become more severe if the US government stays on its current path. President Obama is absolutely clueless about economics.

And Nikki, if you're as rich as you say, I await your generous dontation. :)

Let me repeat: rather than whine about making "taxes fair" so that "the rich pay their fair share, etc.", perhaps a check of the numbers from the IRS is in order. In 2006:
- The top 1% of income earners paid 39.89% of the total federal income tax received by the U.S. government.
- The top 5% of income earners paid 60.14% of the total federal income tax received by the U.S. government.
- The top 10% paid 70.79% of the total share.
- The top 25% paid 86.27% of the total share.
- The top 50% paid 97.01% of the total share.

Therefore, increasing rates on very rich people is just plain stupid. If you tax something more, you'll get less of it. Humans are economic animals. If an industrialist or even a small business owner is going to get soaked in taxes, why would he try to make any more money?

Check government revenues during the Bush administration, and then come back and tell me that tax cuts hurt federal revenues. Anyone that does is either blind or lying.

No, everyone's pocketbook is just fine so far. But ask the question again in a year, or in two or three or five years, or ten years. You'll get a much different answer.

Ms. Nikki This is a late comment I know , so for that I apologize. I have to start by stating that My income level over the last ten years has been high by national standards...100K + per year, year after year I pay my taxes. Having been diagnosed with cancer in 1998, I have since been denied coverage under ANY health plan private or group To which I have applied. This is a very personal fight for me. I am also not looking for your loyal followers to bash my ideals either, as I know they will have respect for this very, very personal view. Under the current system a hard working tax paying citizen is being denied coverage based on my prior medical history. My doctors have agreed, but cannot put it in my medical record for lack of concrete evidence, that my cancer was caused by chemical contact made in the Gulf War, Yes I am a veteran that has been denied VA coverage beacause I make too much money, and denied private and group coverage because I am deemed a financial risk. How now can you explain to me in a way that I agree with is this fair, or remotely decent? That is my only question to you. I admire you, so You know I expect an answer if you have one?

Nikki said...

Coby, first of all thank you for sharing such a personal example of the need for health care reform, that takes a lot of courage and God bless you in your battle.
I don't think there is anyone in this country, conservative or liberal, republican or democrat that is arguing that health care is not a problem in this country. The cost for doctors and patients is out of control and insurance companies are from hell and some are even criminal. There is no doubt about that. The fact that you are a Veteran and you can't even get decent care is disgusting to me, but this is the same government you are looking to, to solve the even bigger broader health care problem. They can't even take care of you. And that is not because of George Bush, he tripled the budget of the VA while in office and the government still can't get it together.
The problem is with the bill itself. For insurance to work whether it is supplied by the government or privately, there needs to be a majority of healthy people paying the insurance premiums and NOT using the benefit for it to work or the insurance companies would go bankrupt and so will governmental health care. The government supplying what people call as free HC is not free, it costs money and who is paying the bill? The tax payer. Imagine supply and demand. Hospitals and doctors have to carry law suit insurance to protect themselves and this is where a lot of the rising costs are coming from. I don't think a bill authored by a bunch of lawyers that left out tort reform is good for ANY American. Their interests are always in litigation and that goes for our President. Also, the country's economic situation is dire right now as you probably know. To many this is not the time to put forth a 3 trillion dollar bill that will undoubtedly be double that cost. The wealth in this country is shrinking and putting this bill forward right now is bad for the economy. This is my biggest issue with tackling this problem right now. Fix the economy first and then let's talk health care. And use common sense. Frivolous law suits have hurt all of us. Those who are in the private medical insurance business are already cutting jobs everyday. I am not against stricter governmental regulation, but the private medical industry is at risk and let's face it, that is a lot of jobs going bye-bye. I understand your frustration and think your complaints are absolutely legitimate. But this is not the time to start such a costly overhaul and tort reform should absolutely be part of the bill, and it is not. These are some of my concerns and I am sure there are those who also have their own. Please know that my being against this bill does not mean that I think that health care is non issue and that people are not struggling with this problem. I know that is the case all across this country. I just think rushing it through right now is not good. The economy is not fixed and I think people and their jobs are higher on the totem pole for me. I appreciate your honesty and courtesy! God bless...:)N

Coby, may God bless you with abundant courage and good health.

Nikki is absolutely right that the US health care business needs some overhaul. At the top of the list should be tort reform. If there is one thing driving up insurance premiums and health care costs, it is insurance coverage against lawsuits. Some states have already passed some measure of tort reform, but it is needed across the country. A couple of simple items that would help are 1) the losing party pays costs - no more cases on contingency (causing litigants and attorneys to think twice before filing a frivolous lawsuit), and 2) limiting lawsuit awards to certain amounts, depending on the situation.

As for your situation, Coby, I (if I had a vote) would support legislation to remove means testing from VA coverage. If you serve, you should have VA coverage, period. Everyone knows damn well that Congress doesn't require any means test of their own members. John Kerry has the same coverage as Jon Tester, and we all know who of the two has the higher income and wealth.

I really appreciate the last two comments. Both of you are right in your opinions. The one thing that gets to me is when partisan politics interferes with doing the right thing. Example: Is it right to deny Health care to any citizen because of the defecit? We are talking about money. Since when has money have precedence over life? Lets take the War in Iraq, I think we all agree without pointing any fingers that Our entire government was horifically wrong on that one. We have wasted Billions upon Billions of American dollars on a country that never wanted nor asked for our help. We have lost lives and badly needed resources right here in our own country. I love my country and am loyal to it, however I find it hard to believe that so many in our country are self serving, and selfish. I am the type to give what little I have to help the homeless guy on the corner. It's what I was taught. I agree with tort reform, when the situation calls for it. Tort reform is not the problem with Health care. Money is the problem. Profit is the problem. Yes we are a capitalistic society, but we are also a society of decent human beings for the most part. How much profit is ever enough? It is not a republican or liberal issue. It is a societal issue. The haves want more, and the haves not just want. I see here in my own city the greed that abounds throughout corporate America. Companies that do not want to grant full time positions because they don't want benefits to accompany their pay packages. Wal-Mart is a great example of such a corporate robber baron. All the while we preserve, and protect such companies under the guise of capitalism. Where has the empathy in our society gone? I do have a vote , and I used it. Is our President Idealistic? Certainly he is. Is he the Messiah? Certainly not. I can tell you this though, He is empathetic. For me I am thankful. For us all that share in the day to day struggle of staying healthy, Praying for health lest we be forgotten and cast aside to die because we cost society too much money to help. Now thats the real tragedy here.

Coby, no one is saying we shouldn't take care of each other. I must clarify that if the deficit does not decrease and the unemployment rate as well, there will be no health care because there will be no revenue. Slipping into a depression just to cover health care costs is not good for anyone. People are already losing their homes, cars and are on food stamps etc. etc. States are going bankrupt and can't even pay unemployment. Putting our house in order is a wise thing to do IMO. I am sure putting food on tables of families is important too. The wealth in this country is shrinking not increasing and it is corporations that are employers and footing the bill. Just thought I would mention that. :)N

Coby said...

Point noted! I agree with most of what you stated withstanding the economics stand. We as a country are not slipping into a depression. Unemployment is decreasing. Has the country as a whole made economic mistakes? Surely we all have. Now is the time to correct that. Is it decent for the credit industry to rape clients in good standing? no it isn't but they do. I do believe that the great fear out there is vastly exaggerated for political reasons on both sides. Oh btw thanks for the forum to discuss this stuff without hostility. Not from you but your readers as well! Have a great day!
