Now is the time to stand up and fight back harder then ever before. Now is the time to take the fight to them. Will you join us on a campaign to DESTROY THE MOUTHPIECE OF OBAMA'S SOCIALIST AGENDA, THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA? WE ARE IN A FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY, A FIGHT FOR OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE. If we could get read of all these talk-show types (regardless of which side they "hang" on) we'd all be better off. I don't listen to any of them. I've been around long enough to have heard all the "socialist" crap before - no credibility.

Throughout the health care debate, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has had to do a delicate political dance. The legislation that Congress ultimately passed and that President Obama signed into law closely mirrors the health care reform measure Massachusetts passed when Mitt Romney was governor in 2006. Thus, Romney has had to embrace his plan while at the same time, attacking Obama’s in an effort to appease the GOP and the conservative base, who adamantly oppose it.

However, the similarities between the bills Romney and Obama signed into law coupled with the current staunch GOP opposition are proving to be difficult gaps to bridge for the former governor.

Particularly troubling for Romney is the mandate to buy insurance in both reform measures. Republicans believe the individual mandate in the bill Obama signed is unconstitutional and stands as the raison d’etre for their efforts to repeal the bill. But Romney said in 2008, “I like mandates. The mandates work.” Now, it’s unclear where Romney stands on the federal mandate, and he won’t say whether it is constitutional, even though it is core principle of the health care reform bill he signed.

This is your guy right??? lololol

Sue,write a post. Don't hijack this comment thread for your liberal spew, write a post like I challenged you in my post before this one. Explain to me how this new health care is going to benefit me and site references from the bill itself and quote only the bill please. I will be waiting. And please focus on the current administration okay...try not to invoke Romney and Bush.

read for yourself, the good and your side will say the bad, but this is the HC bill.

Truth is, the GOP wanted to scrap the bill and start over because they want THEIR name in lights, not the dems and their black president. The GOP is scared to death because the dems have made history, get on with your life, get over it.

BTW, Romney is very much current as far as you're concerned, he is your guy for 2012. I find this delicious, how about you?

Romney tries to embrace the bill he passed. “I think our plan is working well. And perhaps the best thing I can say about it, it’s saving lives. It is the ultimate pro-life effort,” Romney said this month, even though the Massachusetts plan covers abortions. During a book tour stop this week, Romney struggled to explain any substantive differences between the two plans:

“I like what we have in Massachusetts, despite some flaws,” Romney said. “But what I see in Obamacare is a very different piece of legislation — and one that followed a very different track. In our case, our bill was carried out in a bipartisan basis.”

Romney is exactly right. The only real difference between Obama’s bill and his is that Massachusetts Democrats worked with their Republican governor Romney to pass their bill. Congressional Republicans, however, refused to cooperate with the President.

Tufts University professor Jeffrey Berry noted that the mandates and penalties in both plans are “anathema to mainstream Republicanism” adding that “both involve a significant expansion of government. So, on all those counts, Mitt Romney is vulnerable.” Indeed, as the AP noted, “Mitt Romney has a problem with Obamacare. It looks a lot like Romneycare.”

Nikki, this is your blog.......... want Sue here?

Sue, your little fly by the seat of your pants info is hilarious. You sent me to a one page summary of a 2000 plus page bill...are you kidding? I am supposed to assume these bullet point mandates are all that I need to know? Nice try. As for your Romney orgasm, let me correct you yet again.
The Romney plan is based on the "federalist" model, which means the state governments would have the most say in how they would provide coverage for their uninsured residents. The theory of the federalist model says that it's impossible for just one system to work for the whole country. Get it? According to Romney a NATIONAL system WOULD NOT WORK.
Romney's plan would redirect federal money that is currently being used to help states pay for the care of uninsured residents. Those funds would instead be given to states to help residents purchase their own plans in the private market.
Also,Romney's proposal would make all individual insurance premiums, deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance fully tax-deductible. TAX DEDUCTIBLE. The former governor argues the tax system is unfair to those who have individual health plans — employer-sponsored coverage has these tax benefits. Individual plans do not.
Romney said he would not raise taxes to bring health care reform to America. He would also put a cap on punitive damages for medical liability suits.
Tell me Sue, what does Obama's bill say about tort reform? NOTHING! And what will happen to our taxes? UP UP UP...Now please don't make me write an entire post correcting your ridiculous claims. I am tired. But I will.

Nikki said...

Oh and btw....this source I used for this information was the New York Times. Hardly a right ragsheet.

Sue said...

the summary I linked is very easy to understand, just take your time and absorb it. Tort reform is a minuscule part of HC insurance reform, but dems promised to look at it. Remember this bill passage is a HUGE beginning after decades of Americans asking for it. It will be worked on by DEMOCRATS in the years to come and will be improved upon. NOBODY said it was a perfect bill, no bill is perfect. Taxes are a necessary part of living in America, repubs just do not accept that but too bad. Did you also not accept the repubs every time they gave huge tax cuts to the rich?
This bill WILL NOT HARM you, IT IS NOT SCARY! Stop letting sick-minded conservatives scare you. Things like what pedaling said here are just plain sick, it proves she watches ONLY FOX noise. Obama is NOT a socialist, he's not even liberal!! It's all in your delusional head!

Nikki said...

Sue thanks for linking the easy summary I am retarded. Why do you think we can't research for ourselves? We can and as for myself, I still hate the bill. And it isn't because I can't read or that I watch foxnews. How about you are FOR this bill because all you do is listen to Rachel Maddow and Keith Blowholeman and have sexual dreams about Barack and Ariana Huffington. You wrecklessly and condescendingly come here and do not defend the bill specifically, but instead throw out generalities and pathetic insults. You yourself fought tooth and nail for this bill without knowing what the hell was in it BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TRANSPARENCY and now all of the sudden it's the best bill on the planet and not scary!! How about I don't want government insurance PERIOD. I don't want the IRS up my ass. I don't want higher taxes for the so called rich. Here is a cup of reality, people already pay taxes and people RIGHT NOW who earn more than 15K pay 40% of their income to the government, is that fair?? Almost half of what they earn is TAKEN! So don't act like we aren't paying taxes IT'S THE LAW OF THE LAND. BFD pay for your own shit.
When you want to play with the grown-ups you come on back and we can discuss this bill. There is a possibility that republicans have a few legitimate beefs about this. Like how it was rammed down our throat with no "bipartisan" support or information. And don't tell me Barry tried because that is a LIE LIE LIE. Maybe you should stay on your blog where you are all reasonable and have the intelligence to really know the facts. Thanks for showing us the light, but I don't care for lying bastard Presidents even if they give me a million dollars of Bill Gates money I think they suck.
But I do like Bill Gates if he gave it to me since he is the one who earned it. All Barry did was steal.

Sure Sue is fine with the government so fully controlling her life, but what about when the tide turns and it's a Republican government calling the shots? Is she still going to be okay about how much power this healthcare bill gives them? Less government is always going to be better.

Sue said...

NO TRANSPARENCY?? The bill has been posted since its BIRTH! Obama is NOT a liar, the GOP are. AND We DO NOT pay 40% of our income in taxes thats a friggin joke. YOU Hate Obama because he is black, he is a democrat, and he is smarter than YOU!!! YOU are the immature moron, get a life, watch Fox!!

common sense duh said...

The whole "black" thing is getting quite tiring. We're not opposed to him because he's black. When I look at people I don't see color. When I hear lies, I don't see color. Why must liberals always talk about it?

Johnny Utah said...

Nikki you can't be this scared that "socialism" is imminently upon us. this is all hype for internet laughs right?

We are so far from socialism it isn't even funny. we live in the most aggressive free market economy in the world. no one can rival of standard of living as compared to our tax rate.

Nikki said...

HI Johnny Utah!! If the tax rate is so great why are employers sending work overseas? And before you answer you need to know My husband is in the tax business...knowing the tax code is his thing. Certain income brackets here in the US are some of the highest taxed in the world and that makes us one of the highest taxed countries in the world.
We may not be total socialist America, but the blatant admission of wanting such a system is emerging on the left and in the democratic party. Al Sharpton even agrees with that. I do think the free market is far more regulated than free and the government offering insurance to be overseen by the IRS is an ivasion of my private parts and yea, scary as freaking hell IMO.
Thanks for popping in, I have seen a lot of action on your blog lately and have peeped in now and again for a read and it's a good one, check it out people...:)N

Nikki said...

Sue you are on crack...even as dumb as I am can see that the bullet point article you sent me to is a far cry from the 2000 page original. It isn't rocket science. What is in the bill has only been leaked and only a few aspects of it. Go to fact checker and look it up.
